FT.com - Government bonds rallied on Wednesday as relatively tame core inflation data sparked a buying spree in the US and Europe. Yields on the 10-year US Treasury fell below 4.5 per cent for the first time in almost a month after data revealed modest inflation. The headline consumer price index rose 0.2 per cent in October, a fraction above expectations but well below the 1.2 per cent figure for September.
