AP - In an April 5 story about a probe into the student loan industry, The Associated Press reported erroneously that New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo is investigating Citibank. Citibank already agreed to put $2 million toward a national fund that would educate students and parents about the financial aid industry and is no longer under investigation.
Education dept. places official on leave
 
AP - A Department of Education official who oversaw the student loan industry and who owned at least $100,000 worth of stock in a student loan company has been placed on leave, a department spokeswoman said Friday.
