Reuters - U.S. mortgage finance regulators on
Tuesday raised the limit for loans that can be bought by
government-sponsored mortgage enterprises Fannie Mae and
Freddie Mac to $417,000 for 2006, in most areas.

AP - Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are raising the limit on the size of single-family home mortgages they will purchase by 16 percent to $417,000, increasing the pool of buyers who will qualify for lower-cost financing.
